SERVICES
Alfamarine shipyard offers any type of service concerning the handling and the maintenance of yachts and it is also capable of more complex transformations or refits such as repainting, modernization of engines or electro-hydraulic systems, interior modifications or installations of new equipment. The company is always available in case of failures or request for assistance off-site, with a service team always ready to intervene at any time of the year.
WINTERIZING
The yard has wide indoor and outdoor spaces for the winterizing of boats and for any type of repair. The dock, equipped with electrical sockets, drinkable water and Wi-Fi connection, allows to berth yachts waiting to be delivered but it can also be used for longer period docking. The boats up to 30 tons of weight are launched and hauled with a crane, while those up to 27 meters of length through a traditional slipway. Thanks to a motorized transporter for yachts, the shifting in the yard is rapid and safe.
PAINTING
The painting department uses two pressurized paint-spraying booths with an emissions treatment system, one of which has been created to hold yachts up to 25 meters. Each painting job is performed according to the laws inherent in atmospheric emissions and with the authorization of the city of Rome and A.R.P.A Latium. The preparation and surface treatment process is entirely accomplished in the yard with professional smoothing machines and lift platforms to reach any part of the yacht. In case of more damaged surfaces, the Alfamarine has an air compressed ecological sandblaster that uses sodium bicarbonate or sand for the smoothing and restoration of more complex metallic, wooden or composites surfaces such as hulls, mechanical parts or anti-slips.
CARPENTRY
Over the years, Alfamarine’s carpentry department has acquired the skills and experience to undertake any interior decoration or fitting project. The shipyard is capable of handling a wide range of work, including full interior refurbishments, custom furniture construction, teak deck installation, and wooden hull repairs.
ENGINEERING
The company has a wide range of equipment and specialised personnel for ordinary boat maintenance, but it is also able to carry out more complex installations of engines and systems. In accordance with manufacturers’ guidelines, standard maintenance services are performed on engines and generators, along with the repair of propulsion systems (shaft lines, surface drives, sterndrives, IPS), assistance for electro-hydraulic systems, complete repowering of the vessel, and the installation of new equipment.
FIBERGLASS
Always in search of new technologies in the field of composite materials, the fiberglass processing department stands out for the high quality of its products, ranging from the repair of existing structures to the creation of furniture and moldings. Over the years, it has gained experience in mold design for manual or vacuum lamination using fiberglass, carbon fiber, Kevlar, balsa wood sandwich panels, or PVC foam.
DESIGN
Each project that the shipyard accomplishes is always accompanied by a large preliminary study with drawings and technical sheets to show the client before starting the job. By doing so, it is possible to create a detailed price quotation with different proposals to evaluate the best suitable solution to the owner's needs.
ASSISTANCE
In addition to the ordinary winterizing, the Alfamarine service team offers complete assistance wherever the boat is located. Supported by the each boat's crew, the team is committed to support owners in dealing with any malfunctioning of their yachts to guarantee their full functionality and safety. The company has also its own crew in case of transfers or movements of yachts on owners request.
